Advises Fish that he will receive money from the Treasurer of the U. S. that he is to transfer to Nehemiah Freeman, temporary paymaster at West Point, for the pay of the Corps of Artillerists and Engineers.
Discusses a settlement to be made with the 4th Regiment and other of General Wilkinson's troops. Mentions authorization by the Secretary of War for the Paymaster General, Caleb Swan, to draw money for the recruiting service.

Certification that $73.93 is due Pvt. Lefore Catham, waiter to Capt. Lewis of Capt. Howell Lewis's Company 3rd US Regiment, being his pay from December 17, 1795, the date of his enlistment, through June 1797.

Capt. Miller indicates that he has enlisted Charles Millings who says that he has been a soldier in Capt. Shamburgh's Company and Peter Larkins who was likewise in the 1st Regiment. Any information on these two men would be appreciated.
