McHenry writes of a conference that General Wilkinson held with the Northwest Indians where they produced a document claiming it was an original counterpart to the Treaty of Greenville, but believes its a forgery. McHenry also encloses a letter written to Robert Oliver with an instruction to meet with DeButts as soon as he reaches Baltimore.

Freeman to leave Pittsburgh post. Letter from Eaton led Freeman to believe he would publish his trial to exculpate himself and injure reputation of officers. Freeman requested that Simmons tell friends the truth if Eaton publishes documents.
Certification that $70.41 is due Lt. Philip Landais of the Corps of Artillerists and Engineers, being his pay for October and November 1797 and his subsistence for July 1797.
Watrous has enclosed his account in the best way that he could formulate it. He has not yet received a certficate from the paymaster to tell him when he was paid nor does he know the price of rations at different times nor the form of a subsistence account.

Peter Hagner informs James Marshall that an account current and the applicable receipts need to be on hand at the Accountant's Office before an examination can begin.
William Simmons discusses the settlement of accounts that reflect retained rations with Colonel William Heth. Simmons also mentions compiling abstracts of delinquent accounts.
Certification that $5.68 is due Pvt. John Nasmith of the Corps of Artillerists and Engineers, being his pay from November 1 to December 13, 1797, the day of his discharge for disability.
Cited in Elliot to Simmons, 01/01/1798. Elliott received information from Simmons regarding pay that was sent to Mr. Dexter at Providence, RI. Elliott went to see Dexter, no pay had arrived. Elliott enclosed muster and pay roll in letter and requested pay sent along as soon as possible.
Harris is directed to furnish the Purveyor Tench Francis with the following articles needed to manufacture 180 muskets for the Marines: musket barrels, musket stocks, sets of mounting, musket locks, musket bayonets, and musket ramrods. The muskets are to be manufactured according to the specifications of Lieutenant McRea of the Marines and returned to the store when completed.
