Responds to Col. Hawkins's request about information of the unfortunate affair with Indians on December 22. Forwards a transcript of Hawkins's diary, which he hopes will reveal the destination of the Indians. Has not been able to secure accommodations. Indicates plan to get stipends and supplies to agents between the state of Georgia and the Creek Nation.
By order of the Sec. of War Hodgdon sent Shoemaker articles of clothing requested. Hodgdon asked Shoemaker to receive the items and notify him if the inventory matches the invoice.

Harris is directed to deliver 25 short cartridges of two pounds each for 24 pounders to Lieutenant Mullowney for sealing the guns on the frigate "United States." Also needed are three sticks of port fire.
