Enclosed is a general return of stores through November 1797 for the posts at Fort Franklin, Le Beouf, and Presqu'isle. Craig has drawn on Hodgdon for five hundred dollars in favor of John Wienshall. The Philadelphia mail was late and set off again in just a few minutes so there was no time to acknowledge receipt of Hodgdon's letter. This irregularity should be made known to the Postmaster General.
Certification that $281 is due George Gillaspy, Surgeon of the 2nd Regiment, being for his pay, subsistence, and forage for September through December 1797.
Certification that $8.26 is due Private Daniel Miller, late of Captain Kalteisen's Company of the Corps of Artillerists and Engineers, being his pay from September 1 to November 3, 1797, the date of his discharge.
McHenry submits list of articles purchased by Major Isaac Craig and and delivered to Major Freeman. He asks that they be paid for out the monies in Quarter Master General's Department.

Simmons has received a letter from Lt. James Sterrett in Cincinnati enclosing Prior's account and vouchers for expenditures in the Indian Department. Before an examination can take place, Prior must forward the authority under which he acted and the balance due him from the United States.
Certification that $275 is due a detachment of the Corps of Artillerists and Engineers stationed at Fort Norfolk under Capt. Richard Blackburn, being the pay of himself, Lieutenants John Saunders and James Tripplett, Cadets Peter Lambkin and Thomas Blackburn, and the non-commissioned officers and privates for December 1797.
Certification that $548.63 is due a detachment of the Corps of Artillerists and Engineers stationed at Fort Johnson South Carolina under Captain Michael Kalteisen being the pay of himself, Captain Richard Blackburn, Lieutenant Jonathan Robeson, Surgeon's Mate Frederick Dalcho (including forage), and the non-commissioned officers and privates for December 1797.
