  Henley is forwarding the quarterly returns for the last quarter of 1799 which exhibits the balance on hand. The delivery of Cherokee goods with vouchers will be forwarded shortly.

  Sending the Notes One Half at a Time

  Given the restriction of not hazarding a remittance of more than one thousand dollars at a time, Williams suggests cutting the notes through the middle and sending one half at a time. Once receipt is acknowledged for the first half, the other half can then be remitted.
