Title

Refusal to Admit Accounts of the Ordnance Department

Description

Craig discusses the implications of the Quartermaster General's refusal to admit the accounts of the Ordnance Department. The QMG says that since has no superintendance of that department, it would be improper for him to admit accounts of expenditures arising under it. Craig asks Hodgdon's assistance in getting the Secretary of War to pay the monies due armorers and the ordnance department.
