Title

Recommending John Johnston and John Milroy

Description

John Johnston, a native of America, has a strong predilection for a military life and has applied for an appointment in the Army. Since such applications are numerous and one from a remote part of the country might be overlooked, Gregg asks Hodgdon to intervene on Johnston's behalf. If offered a lieutenancy, Gregg is sure Johnston would not dishonor the appointment. He also recommends John Milroy for an appointment as a Subaltern.
