Sir--
I am this moment favoured with your Letter of the 7th instant, with the Packages mentioned in it--all of which will pass under examination as time may allow--The misfortune of the Boat I deplore, as I am afraid serious consequences may arise for want of the Stores injured or lost--I hope in your next, I shall be advised that Box No 3 is found as it contains important as well as costly articles--The drafts you mention shall meet due honor--I will mention what you request to Colo Pickering--Nothing very particularly New--
I am
Sir,
your Most Obedient Servant
Samuel Hodgdon
Major Isaac Craig--
