Hodgdon's Deed Is Without Value
Description
Hodgdon's deed to certain land appears to have no value. Josiah Stoddard, the grantor, has been dead for eighteen years and Darcius Stoddard died bankrupt five years ago. Apparently the deed was never recorded and the land was sold for taxes since no owner appeared to pay.
