Pittsburg 24 February 1797
Sir,
You will find enclosed herewith two accounts viz. one of
Doctor Simons the other of Doctor Corning for services in attending
the Garrison of Presque isle during the time that Doctor Balfour was
sick You will observe tat Cap. Bissell has pointed out
the reasons that that the charges have accrued but as the case is new
to me & without a precedent I have sent them to you and have to
request them returned by next post with your opinion & instructions respecting
