my unhappy situation obliges me to trouble the general once more on the subject concerning the late resolve of Congress
if it is not in my power to get any one of my friends to advance my commutation upon the condition of that resolve
they say the commutation amounts to more than the arrears of pay due me
whether the calculations we made are right or not
there is an end to all hope of getting any one to advance my commutation
take the liberty of enclosing the calculation which I have made
beg the generals opinion theron
my case will be heard indeed
situation which requires releaf
honor of waiting on the general in person
finding it impracticable
obligd to trouble the general with a letter
hoping it will be in his power to decide the business when a moment should offer in the recess of the multiplicity of callers
