Lynch wrote Simmons due to his lack of acquaintances in the War Department and upon the suggestion of Major Henry. Lynch requested Simmons forward his request to be moved to Fort Johnson, South Carolina to the Secretary of War and to use his influence on the Secretary of War.
McHenry provided information on troops to be stationed at forts recently vacated by British troops per treaty agreement with United States. McHenry provided information on garrisons to facilitate the timely dispensation of rations to the troops.
The account of C. Burlingham was rendered for settlement but never finalized; it included an order of Peter Hazard in favor of Israel Pearce. Pearce and Hazard are now engaged in a lawsuit and want a copy of the relevant documents.
