Simmons certifies that $210 is due John Nicholson for inspecting swords, muskets, and the parts of small arms and pistols and examining arms to be repaired and inspecting them when repaired by the armourers at New London and Springfield from Aug. 10 to Nov. 10, 1796.
The Secretary of the Treasury has been directed to require the Purveyor to procure the ramrods needed for the French muskets repairing at West Point. He has been informed of Mr. Cranch's proposal to produce them at a price of a half-dollar each. Enclosed is an order on the Storekeeper for the deficient bayonets which should immediately be forwarded to Mr. Cranch.
Holt has already acknowledged receipt of the balance of his May estimate. Now he wants to confirm receipt of the balances of his estimates for June and July. Returns of work accounted for in September and October are forwarded.

Hagner certifies that $146 is due the Detachment of the Corps of Artillerists and Engineers under the command of Lieutenant Joseph Guimpe at Whetstone Point, Baltimore Maryland, being their pay through October 1796.
Enclosed are instructions for Hodgdon and for Mr. Harris the Storekeeper of Military Supplies. Harris should have the bond required of him for the faithful performance of his duties executed according to his instructions. It then should be sent to the War Office to be lodged there.
This appears to be a draft agreement designating the responsibilities of Samuel and Joseph Sterett to act as agents for the construction of a frigate in Baltimore.
Gillaspy's baggage has been sent with Captain Eaton and he asks Hodgdon to keep it safe in his store until he arrives in March. He will accompany a detachment of troops traveling by boat to Fort Fidius and after his arrival at that place will proceed on to Philadelphia.
Major Craig lamented that medicines destined for Greenville, Miami and Detroit will not reach destination until spring. Also requested a considerable remittance from Samuel Hodgdon. Craig informed Hodgdon that the Antifederal ticket carried a very great majority in the county elections. Craig requested a barrel of sugar and coffee and stationary for the upper posts.
