Certification that $467.36 is due Lieutenant Ferdinand Claiborne, Ensign Samuel Crutchfield, and the recruits under the command of Lt. Claiborne, being his and their pay through November 1797.
Certification that $291.08 is due Ensign Meriwether Lewis of the United States 1st Regiment, being the balance of his pay from January through November 1797 and his subsistence from November 1796 through November 1797. Balance to be transmitted to Edward Carrington Supervisor Richmond, to be paid by him to the said Ensign Lewis.
Certification that $51.91 is due John Butler, late Temporary Surgeon's Mate to the Frigate "United States", being the balance of his pay and subsistence from September 26, the date of his acceptance, to December 15, 1797, the date of his resignation.
