Craig estmates that $1630.46 is due the troops at the Upper Posts of the Ohio, including the pay of Capt. Bissell's Company, Capt. Turner's Company, the pay of Lts. Martin and Rosecrantz, and the pay and forage of Drs. Philips and Wallace. The pay for October, November, and December 1797 will bring the total to $3790.46.
Certification that $670.80 is due Thomas Truxton [Truxtun], Captain of the Navy of the United States, being his pay and subsistence from July through December 1797.
Wilkins signed the power of attorney and mailed it to Hodgdon. Wilkins wants to close all accounts, and has been transmitting all his vouchers to assist in the settlement of accounts. Unfortunately, the scattered location of posts has made it impossible to collect all vouchers.
