Certification that $120 is due John Bryant, Deputy Military Storekeeper at Springfield Massachusetts, being his salary for October through December 1797.
Discusses power of attorney and a recent bill drawn by Capt. Harrison for $800 in favor of Col. Sargent; admits confusion over a supposed deficiency of articles unaccounted for in the quartermaster stores. Explains that he has not tried to account for the overall quartermaster stores in his returns.
Certification that $159.84 is due Private John Frank of the 2nd Sub Legion, being his pay from August 19, 1794, the time he was captured by Indians, to January 20, 1798, agreeable to an Act of Congress passed January 20, 1798.

Document Gist 07/10/1798 as follows: The addition to the pay of Capt. Andrew Marschalk shall be made as soon as his name appears on the appropriate payroll provided he does not refund the balance beforehand.
Received letter requesting articles, supplies, and furniture for Capt. Nicholson's ship. Due to regulations, no other ship was allowed additional furniture or requested items, therefore Capt. Nicholson's request was denied and McHenry advised that Jackson only provide items approved by gov't.
Statement of articles purchased by Captain Nicholson as cabin furniture for his ship. General Henry Jackson naval agent at Boston informed that no other articles can be allowed by public to the commissioned officers; any more must be provided at own expense.
