General Orders: Ellery explains the reasons for the execution of Joseph Perkins for desertion and taking with him two prisoners. These are crimes so heinous as to demand the death penalty as the best way of setting an example for the rest of the soldiery.

Advised a correct statement of stores, not a hastily compiled and incorrect statement. Discussed payment for transportation, relationship of Craig to Mr. Mead, mentioned damage sustained by sinking boat on Allegheny river. Blocks for hauling supplies to arrive shortly.
Concerned about supplies sent to Col. Ogden's regiment. If they are faulty beyond repair, requests a return. Hopes to make supplies to 12 regiments uniform in every particular. Quartermasters of each regiment should procure tent poles.
