Love's men have not been paid ranging from five to fourteen months. Major General Pinckney has ordered Captain Bird to march with his men to Pittsburgh, but since his men have not been paid or supplied, he cannot obey the order. General Pinckney has directed the Swan to direct the pay of Captain Bird, his officers and men, to be paid to Lieutenant Haskill to carry to them.
