Holt notes that he requested that Simmons pay Hodgdon for estimate of $1667.73. He has purchased iron from William Wilson and does not have money to pay him. Notes that the people are suffering greatly for money.

Simmons certifies that $176.45 is due John Boon, late private of Capt Mahlon Ford's Company of Artillery, being his pay from January 1791 to 20 December 1795, the day he returned home from captivity from the Chippewa Indians.
Pickering informs naval agent William Pennock that he has dismissed Samuel Shore as clerk of shipyard at Norfolk. Shore has been ordered to return all articles, papers and books. Asks that Pennock give him receipt.
Pickering informs Shore that since the the building of the frigate at Norfolk has been delayed, he is not being continued as clerk. He is to return all articles and papers to Naval Agent William Pennock.
Simmons certifies that $107 is due Lieutenant Horatio R. Dayton and the men under his command at Governor Island, being his and their pay for Dec. 1795.
